Evaluation

1. What do you feel is the most important area of learning that you have taken from this assignment? Look at all the production stages and ask your self which areas of this assignment have given you a new way of thinking or approaching you future projects. (50 Words)

I feel that the most important area of learning from the assignment is the research into the conventional horror trailer. Before the project, I didnt understand the structure of such a genre and I didnt think it would make a bean of difference how I planned out the horror trailer, however after watching horror trailers on the internet, I understood the details and aspects of how a horror trailer is structured in regards to camera positioning and the sequence of events.



2. From your finished project what parts are you most happy with? With the same level of consideration what areas do you feel you need to improve on? (50 Words)

I am delighted with the camerawork techniques that were used for our project, with the zooming in, zooming out, and swiveling of the rotary camera tripod. I believe this added a realistic, shocking, and overall vibrant edge to the trailer unlike no other before. However the paperwork may have let the group down at the beginning, as we decided to whip up the most imaginative story ideas first as opposed to putting our mind to work for some head-to-keyboard action on Risk assesments and whatnot.



3. How well do you think you and your group worked in achieving all the goals that were set by the assignment brief? (50 Words)

As a group, I would define our worksmanship as mediocre but definaly not inferior or stupendous. I do admit we started off somewhat at a snails pace, but we quickly achieved so much that we catched up, or in some cases surpassed several other groups for the assginment breifs. I found myself doing alot of the paperwork in the group because I opted not to act in anyone elses films, while the other group members did.


4. What would you change or do differently in the next production? (50 Words)

For a start, I find myself easly distracted alot of the time. I admit it, and several staff members have told me the same, and I am trying to think of ways to overcome this obstacle. One such method I could use is working with someone different in the class, perhaps someone I am not entirely associated with, or someone I dont have much in common with. Another thing I could do is to not take such a negative attitude to paperwork and risk assesment forms. I understand they have to be done, so I can understand these requirements should I start a career in the Media industry.


5. How does your trailer fit with the look and style of a real example that you looked at in research, think about how your trailer looks and how it is editied (50 Words)

My trailer follows the large conventions of a horror trailer, with chase scenes, screams, thrills, spills and other comparable elements one would expect. Like alot of the trailers I looked at, there is an absence of 'colourful' aspects that portray life as merryful. As a group we also tried to add a boastful aspect to the trailer, which is particulary proninent in the 'silver screen', which would contain one-liners such as 'THE GREAT HORROR THE SCREEN HAS EVER KNOWN!'. Using this research, we believe we have made a rather convincing horror trailer.

Horror Trailer

Over the past couple days Joe, Amanda and I have been filming intensly throughout our Horror trailer. We have abandoned our old script in favour of a more serious and logical one.

We also brainstormed and managed to borrow student Charlotte Stanhope in order to achieve more diversity in our shooting schedule, being a victim of our killers 'murder spree'.

Inconclusion we have been progressing marvellously and our group shall stride to achieve what we can in the incubent horror trailer project.

Today we are hoping to get the paperwork done and out of the way to put it in line with our new script.
